## About Plandex
Plandex is a terminal-based AI development tool that plans and executes large coding tasks spanning many steps and dozens of files. It handles up to 2 million tokens of context directly and indexes much larger directories with tree-sitter project maps, keeps AI changes in a cumulative diff review sandbox until you accept them, controls command execution for easy rollback, and combines models from several providers. A local self-hosted mode is available.
