Try downloaded AI models and on-device chat or media search in an experimental app.
Documentation reviewed
Can I use this for my work?
Gallery is an experimental Beta app for trying downloaded models, including chat and on-device media search. It is a sandbox rather than a production-readiness certification.
- Availability
- Beta. Explicit experimental Beta; public store/APK routes and a macOS download do not imply GA or identical features on each platform.
- How to use it
- Mobile app; Desktop app. Android 12+ and iOS 17+; current README also links a macOS 0.1.0 download. Check per-platform requirements.
- Processing and data
- On-device option. Model inference is documented as on-device. Model discovery/downloads and network-connected skills need separate network and permission review.
- Costs and limits
- Apache-licensed app; device and model requirements
- Outputs
- Model chats and supported media search results; video search can identify moments and export clips. Features depend on compatible models/platforms.
Model compatibility, storage and device performance vary. The Apache 2.0 app license does not establish the terms of every downloaded model. Networked skills can add external access.

About Google AI Edge Gallery
Google AI Edge Gallery is an experimental Beta application for exploring downloaded models and on-device AI workflows such as chat and media search. Its current repository links Android and iOS store releases, an APK and a macOS download. Supported models, features and performance differ by platform and device. The app's Apache 2.0 code license does not license every model; model downloads and network-connected skills have separate access and privacy requirements.
