About Opik
Opik, built by Comet, covers the LLM application lifecycle from the first trace in development to production monitoring: agent tracing and observability, LLM-as-a-judge and other evaluations, prompt management and production dashboards. It is Apache-2.0 licensed and free to self-host in full, with a hosted option on Comet.com and an MCP integration for coding agents.
Opik is an open-source project written primarily in Python, with 22k stars on GitHub. It was last updated in September 2026.
