Choose model access separately from the coding client

Cline documents editor and terminal applications with several model-access paths: Cline usage billing, ClinePass, your own provider credentials and local runtimes. Installing the client does not establish free access to every model.

Select the application and model path first. Cline credits, a subscription or your provider's usage charges can apply; local inference requires a suitable runtime and hardware. Review file, shell and browser permissions before use. ASE has not installed a client, signed in or run a coding task for this check.

About Cline

Cline provides coding-agent workflows through a CLI, editor extensions, a desktop application and an SDK. It can edit files, run commands and use external tools, with approval behavior configured by the operator. Model and service costs depend on the selected providers; interface availability and licensing should be checked separately.
