About OpenAI Codex
Codex can inspect and edit a repository, run local commands and help review code through its terminal interface. It also supports cloud task workflows. The CLI can use configured local model providers such as Ollama or LM Studio; where inference runs and which services receive data depend on the selected provider and tools.
