ha-mcp lets AI assistants control smart home devices, query states, call services and manage automations in Home Assistant through natural language. The recommended install is a custom component from HACS that runs the server inside Home Assistant on every installation type, with no access token to manage; Docker, uvx and an add-on are alternatives. It is not an official Home Assistant project.
